Marquee Hire FAQs
The ones we answer most weeks. If yours is not here, ring us or email and ask it.
What people ask before they book
What is included in the price?
The marquee, the sidewalls, flooring, lighting, furniture, and all the setup and dismantle. Delivery is included.
All our prices are quoted excluding VAT.
Do you deliver and set it up?
Yes, and it is in the price. We ordinarily set up midweek and take it down on the Monday. You have the structure for the whole weekend.
There is a minimum charge, because we have to send a vehicle with two workers.
What do you need paying, and when?
Prices are quoted excluding VAT, and the quote spells out what is in it.
What happens after I ask for a quote?
Tell us the date, the place and roughly how many guests. We come back with a price and a suggested layout. The form takes about a minute.
Questions we get asked
Are your marquees fully waterproof?
Yes!
Are walls included?
Sidewalls are included in all our quoted prices.
When do you erect and dismantle the marquee?
We’ll work with you and your venue for what’s best for your event but usually 1 or 2 days before and after your event.
How many guests can sit round a table?
Our 5ft Round tables seat 8 comfortably or 10 more cosily. For a top table we usually provide 3 trestle tables to seat up to 10. The wooden benches we use come in sets with a table and two benches seating six comfortably or 8 cosy.
What type of flooring do you use, and do I need it?
We use a coconut matting laid onto a waterproof membrane. The coconut matting looks great with a rustic theme and dresses up well with a more traditional look.
For most events we put flooring down but it’s not always necessary if you’re looking to save a bit of money.
Can we decorate the marquees ourselves?
You sure can, we just ask that you don’t attach anything to the marquee canvas.
Do you provide site visits?
Yes we’re more than happy to arrange a site visit. It’s always good to view a site and discuss options in context.
Do you provide furniture and lighting?
We sure do. There is a full list, with sizes, on the furniture hire page.
Can you set up on hardstanding, such as concrete?
Yes. We have put these marquees up on hard standing, using concrete ballast weights. We can work with a variety of terrain types.
Which floor goes in which structure
ordinarily it is hard flooring in frame marquees and soft flooring in stretch marquees. we do put the soft flooring in frame marquees, and we can put hard flooring in stretch marquees, but it is not recommended because if takes away from the aesthetic and also really adds to the cost. we can put plastic down beneath the matting to reduce seepage coming through the matting.
Ring us with the one that is not on this list, or send it with your quote request.
