Pallet Bar #1

At MM HQ we decided we needed to add a bar to our offer but after looking at the various options we couldn’t really find one we liked that was easy to store and transport. As fans of up-cycling we’ve loved the pallet coffee tables that kept cropping up on Pinterest, and after a bit of research we found some awesome pallet bars that we knew our customers would love as much as us.

We sourced some pallets from our friends at Welbeck Brewery that had been used to transport hops and barley in a previous life, and now they’ll be used to serve the finished product.

And then we set about building it.

We first took a sander to the pallets to remove all the splinters and give it a nice finish, before constructing the bar and finishing it with a scaffolding board top. It really is amazing how beautiful pallets and a scaffolding board come up with a bit of love.

The bar is built to be flat packed and even fits in the back of our Golf! We’re pleased with the results and you’ll see in the pictures that it’s perfect for a boho, rustic event. It looks great on nightfall with rope lighting attached – we could even add some bunting or flowers too.

We get the feeling this won’t be the last pallet bar we build. We’re getting our thinking caps on for our next project as we aim to continually add to our stock with unique and quirky items.
