Venues!
It’s been a busy winter for us at Milestone Marquees, and we’re now ready for the start of the 2015 season with new stock, wedding fayres and some fantastic bookings that we can’t wait to get started.
We’ve even brushed the dust off our own wedding planner and have booked our wedding date and venue for next year – that’s the easy part done – and now we can’t wait to get stuck in with the planning!
We’ve gone for a simple town hall wedding followed by a marquee reception at Whirlow Farm, Sheffield. They have a couple of options available including the hall and gardens, and the field and can also sort catering for you too. You can even have your guests camp here and organise a farm tour for the little ones as it’s a great working farm with cows, pigs, chickens and sheep. We’ve gone for the hall and gardens which is a beautiful space to host a wedding reception. Perfect for hanging lights in trees and creating different areas for your guests to enjoy as well as a perfect space for one of our 28ft x 38ft Capri marquees
But that’s enough about our own wedding!
We do still have availability for this year and next so do get in touch with us to see if we can be a part of you big day. Remember our marquees can only be put on grassed areas, but we’ll happily do a site visit to check that your venue meets our requirements…and we meet yours!
Even though Whirlow Farm is a personal favourite of ours, here are some other venues where you could look to hold your wedding and/or reception:
- Cotton Star Campsite
- Woodthorpe Hall
- Manor Farm
Key things to consider when choosing a venue:
- Does the site have power? Generators can be hired but it’s an extra cost
- Does the site have toilets and water, again these can be hired but again it costs
- Is there decent access to the site, not just for the marquees think about caterers, yes we all love the vintage Citroen vans but can they get easy access to the site?
